During lockdown, I was lucky enough to see a Zoom presentation by a wildlife artist / photographer called Steve Williams (thanks to Lowestoft Photographic Club). He demonstrated some images where he visited one location over the period of a year which got me thinking.
Not far from where I live is a 6.7 hectare strip of land that was nearly covered with several housing estates, if it hadn't been for the discovery of some very rare organisms that made their home there.
So, in the first week of January, I took my camera, lens and tripod with me to see what I could see. The plan was to keep going back for the rest of the year to witness the changes that took place and make a series of record images, with some basic photography equipment.
This gradually developed into a 52 week long project where I visited Mill Meadows at least once a week (sometimes twice). It has been a struggle to keep going but at the time of writing this, I am currently on my 31st week.
I hope you enjoy what you see ...
